Electric Vehicle Store plans to move HQ; hopes for surge in e-car buyers

Most of the vehicles Carl Gulbronson sells won’t go any faster than 25 or 35 miles per hour.  Still, it’s been a wild ride trying to hang on in the electric-vehicle business these past few years.  Gulbronson opened The Electric Vehicle Store in St. Louis Park in September 2008, right as gas prices were hovering around $4 a gallon.  “When the cost of a gallon of gas crosses three dollars, people get very serious about looking for alternative forms of transportation,” Gulbronson said. “When it crosses four, people panic and buy anything they can that doesn’t use gasoline.”(Continue reading…)
